We manage separate network of servers for our free, premium, business and dedicated customers. Our datacenter spans over 200 separate server chassis, and the network is built for reliability, performance, and scalability.
Datacenter is secure and monitored 24/7 for intrusion and fire. On site we have redundant Eaton Powerware UPS systems along with diesel generators with fuel reserves and weekly test cycle. Our redundant HVAC (air conditioning) totals over 100 tons. Midwestern location (Columbus, Ohio) was chosen for milder temperatures, lower energy costs, and historically lower chance of natural disaster.
All our servers are running on fast Intel® XEON® Quad and Dual Quad Core processors, with at least 4 GB of RAM, fast redundant RAID hard disk sub-system, switched by Cisco gear and firewalled by WatchGuard appliances, and connected via 3 separate SONET (redundant OC-3 optical fiber) rings directly into the backbones of multiple international carriers including Level3, MCI, Global Crossing, and TWTelecom.
We are also introducing our own in-house developed software using special optimization hardware that continually probes destinations on the Internet to test for a number of performance and stability statistics. Some of these metrics including latency, packet loss, jitter and many others are factored in to a score then used to find optimal route for desired destination. This ensures fast, accurate and efficient delivery and response to the requests from and to that destination meaning optimal delivery of your content.
If due to unforeseen circumstances a particular route goes down, the optimization hardware sees this and adjusts topology accordingly to provide the next best link with little to no delay.
All of our hosting servers are based on powerful, reliable and open source software, such as Linux operating system which enables you to fully customize, control, enhance and modify our servers and services with relative ease! In turn, you receive security, reliability and uptime as well as the ability to run a plethora of web scripts made to run within the Linux environment.
